This series explores the components of a developng ralationshhp between two entities each represented by their unique colour. One in fiery red tones and the other in rich blues and golds. These entities do not represent any specific gender, religion, or creed, they simply exist in relation to each other.
The first piece in the series is called, ‘Connection’ which signifies the first moments of a budding relationship where you find common ground through similar interests and goals. The form conveys the meeting of minds, mirroring each other’s interests.
The second piece in the series is called, ‘Infatuation’ which represents the unbridled lust that follows a strong connection. The form shows both entities intertwined, lost in each other’s essence for a moment, hoping it will last eternally. This piece takes on the shape of the infinity sign forever looping around, intently following each other’s seductive curves.
The final piece in the series is called, ‘Devotion’ After the infatuation subsides a true union of mind body and soul resonates through both entities forming one shape unifying both essences creating a new perfectly balanced being.
The size of each piece represents the impact of each stage where hope is big when you first connect, lust becomes overwhelming when infatuated but devotion is understated, real, and intimate without the need for huge gestures or fanfare.

These simple shapes and striking colours impact us in a profound way, resembling DNA strands which is quite apt as I believe it is in our DNA to want to CONNECT and form meaningful bonds with each other celebrating our differences through unity.
